Cache Bistro and Lounge is a French fusion restaurant located in Yaletown with cute ambiance carried forward from the previous Thai restaurant. Red booth seats, big baroque gold decor fills the room. We came here one evening after a birthday for an extended gathering. The menu is primarily French / Asian fusion and focuses on tapas style at moderate prices.
Macallan on the rocks.
Being the Nancy that I am, how can I not order the Fancy Nancy. I guess raspberry vodka, Chamboard, cranberry, pineapple and lime is what I consists of. Above all, it’s a pretty tasty drink.
Cache Bistro and Lounge has happy hour / late night. The lounge menu was on promo at 2 for 1.
Pork Belly with a sweet honey glaze. A modern take on something that tasted a lot like Chinese Roasted Pork.
Dave was still hungry after dinner and had to order a burger. Complete with the works and even a lightly battered pickle – a nice crunchy take and went well with the saucy patty.
Calamari: Five spice, chickpea flour, sake soy glaze. I enjoyed the sharp flavors but found it slightly too salty.
Baked Blueberry Pie: Smothered inside a flaky brioche bun. The warm center was filling and sweet.
Chocolate Mousse Cake: A creamy rich sinfully indulgence that was clearly much better than this picture.
