Calabash Bistro Vancouver | Valentine’s Day Caribbean Dinner for Two

This casual unpretentious restaurant is located on  428 Carrall St between Pender and Hastings Street in Chinatown. Tonight we were invited to try our their Valentine’s Day Menu available now until February 16th!

We were invited by Tangoo along with few fellow bloggers for menu tasting at Calabash Bistro.

Roti and Dip: Spicy roti with your choice of jerk chicken, jerk veggie, curry chicken or curry veggie sauce. Ask for some Dahi yogurt sauce if it gets too heated. I personally prefer adding more spicy pepper sauce for some that extra kick![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image_with_animation image_url=”17202″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]

Rib Platter $50: House seasoned BBQ Calabash ribs, jerk chicken, fried plantain, coleslaw, jerk fries, and seasonal veggies. We really liked the tender fall off the bones ribs.

Seafood Platter $50: Pepper butter prawns, coconut curried cod with Mango served with fried plantain, spicy corn and chickpeas, rice and peas and seasonal vegetables.

Veggie Platter $40: Curried coconut confit potatoes, ginger plantain, spicy corn and chickpeas, mixed organic greens served with rice and seasonal veggies. I really liked the chickpeas and sweet corn mix. It is great for someone looking for a plant-base alternative or trying to avoid gluten.

Lastly, dessert! Coconut dumplings made with cornmeal flour, butter, brown sugar. Served with chocolate ganache and rum marinated fruits.
