Heirloom Vancouver Brunch time is a fairly special treat. The clean crisp white space is intriguing and cozy at the same time. I would suggest you request a seat by the fireplace or by the window to absorb the natural light. Heirloom Vegetarian offers contemporary dining with fresh cocktails, organic wine list, and local craft beers. Who says you can’t drink on Meatless Mondays? But before you jump to conclusions about eating cardboard and erasers; Heirloom is focused on fair traded ingredients and super foods. Better yet, they are open for Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch from 9am to 4pm.
Gentlemen, do not fret! You will not go home hungry. Or worse, hangry. The food is actually quite filling and won’t leave you in a comatose!
Taco Salad (v, gfo) 15.95: black beans, organic quinao and red onions with cilantro and corn. Served in a whole-wheat tortilla bowl with chilli lime vinaigrette. This bean salad is healthy low carb meal that is easy to make at home. But Heirloom’s chili lime vinaigrette makes it extra delicious!
Daily Soup (gfo, v) 8.95: Today’s soup is cream of broccoli. Heirloom daily soup is always vegan and gluten-free. Served with toasted sourdough or gluten-free muffin. Unlike most cream of anything, their soup is thick with fresh vegetables.
Heirloom Scramble (gf, vo) 14.95: scrambled eggs (or tofu), quinoa, kale, seasonal vegetables with sesame mirin sauce. Served with green salad and roasted beets. This lighter and more filling egg scramble is packed with super foods such as kale, quinoa and tons of healthy fibers.
Bottom line, we love the feeling of being full without that heaviness that drags you down. We can’t wait to revisit and taste Heirloom vegetarian dinner menu.
