So you’ve rendezvous with marinated rotisserie chickens, fried chicken skins and even pork terrines; so now what? How about the brunch menu? What does the Homer Street Cafe Brunch menu look like? How intimate encounter with the soft poached Egg Benedict was just as addicting as popping bubble wrap! On the other side of the France’s Grand Cafe design at the Homer Street Cafe are marble tables, high ceilings and a bar. We situated ourselves nicely in one of the booth seats to being our Brunch Soiree.
Maple chicken cobbler with poached egg 12: What is a chicken cobbler you ask? It is basically a chicken pot pie filled with juicy chicken chunks, carrots, celery and seasoned with maple syrup. It is both sweet and savory. The crust is like a crumble of Phyllo pastry with the texture of a graham crumble. I suppose it can pass for a Egg Benedict over Fried Buttermilk Chicken.
Blackstone eggs benedict, fried bacon, roasted tomato, hollandaise 14: Two eggs is always better than one. A soft poached egg with a creamy yolk. Two fried crisp bacon strips. There’s something tasty about a simple staple brunch entree. But if you are 6’3″ you may need to order a side of pork belly to fill your belly.
Pork belly 5: Three pieces of fatty pork with crispy skin. It was part tender and part fat.
Perhaps caressing after brunch at Homer Street Cafe you’ll carousel back for dinner menu. Remember, the marinade for the rotisserie chickens changes daily.
