So you’ve heard we finally bought a Christmas tree! My first tree of my 30-something year old human life (Yes, I live in a well)! I wanted it to be the best damn Pinterest-worthy Christmas tree with the best holiday ornaments! I couldn’t help BUT drool over […]
We finally bought a Christmas tree. This will also be my first ever Christmas tree. So ideally I want to find the perfect holiday ornaments and holiday themed accents for our new home. I want to find festive but also modern, classy and stylish shapes […]
If you want an instant kitchen makeover, a new faucet will do the trick! Whether you are renovating an old kitchen or making small adjustments to your new home, replacing your basic kitchen faucet with a gourmet kitchen faucet can do wonders! A small investment will make a big and beautiful statement! We recently shared our top home renovation must haves to make our place “Kinfolk as f#ck”, now I want to share the before and after photos of our kitchen faucet.
Our home came equipped with minimalist hardwares like this Purist kitchen sink faucet. Not that we didn’t think this single-hole kitchen sink faucet with 8″ pullout spout wasn’t pretty, but it didn’t quite suit our needs. I’ve always had an obsession with a pull down spring spout! I needed it to answer my inner MasterChef!
Replacing the kitchen faucet with this Delta Trinsic Pro with Touch2O® Technology was surprisingly easy. I was afraid our DIY project would flop and we would need to call a plumber. Luckily I have an #InstagramHusband that is pretty handy! The whole process took a only few hours. Although the Touch2O® technology required some simple troubleshooting (thank you Youtube), Dave got everything working!
One nifty thing about the Trinsic Pro is that it turns on and off with just a touch anywhere on the spout or handle. If you hate a dirty kitchen or greasy handles this helps keeps the mess / grease on your hands and not on the faucet! Automatic water flow shut-off after four minutes if the water is left running. It saves water and also gives you a peace of mind even if you walk around.
One more thing that I love about this faucet is the TempSense LED light. It indicates water temperature: red (hot water); cold (cold water).
These features are perfect and matches our theme of making smart home adjustments!
MagnaTite docking keeps the kitchen pull-down spray wand firmly in place. High-arc pull-down swivels 360 degrees. I love the polish look of Chrome (also available in Arctic Stainless). The sleek finish completes this modern kitchen look!
A good kitchen faucet can be hard to find. Designed to accommodate extra thick counters, this faucet combines minimalist style and also satisfies your inner foodie. Refreshing the look of your kitchen can be easy. There are picks from high to low. Whatever you choose, make sure it fits your kitchen style and your finish philosophy!

Living out of a suitcase for the past months was really fun! Guessing which box had my shirts was also an exercise. But now that we’ve gotten our keys to our apartment, it’s time to personalize it! Although it is a brand new building, there are a […]

Home + Design Show 2013 @VanHomeShows #VHDS13 with Property Brothers Jonathan Drew Scott x Jillian Harris
Just over the weekend the Home + Design Show 2013 exhibition took place October 17-20, 2013 at BC Place Stadium. This year the main stage line ups were pretty hot with Jonathan and Drew Scott, stars of Property Brothers, Jillian Harris & Todd Talbot, hosts of Love It or List It Vancouver from the W Network. Both shows I watch religiously and am often inspired to remodel my apartment on a weekly basis.
Traditionally Home + Design show is heavy with products, food, and some entertainment. It is somewhat a cross over between the saavy designs of the Interior Design Show West 2013, the hot tub heavy BC Home + Garden Show, and a twist of the EAT! Vancouver food show. There is something for everyone. I was somewhat disappointed that I didn’t get to snag a picture of the steamy Scott brothers unlike our good friend and realtor Brian Lau (below). Maybe I will just have to Photoshop myself into the picture instead.
One of the most talked about concept I heard on various radio stations was the Bubble House by Casa Bubble. I really can’t imagining living like Bubble Boy. Perhaps this will be good for glamping? Honestly this is just a deflation away from an exacto knife.
Some pretty tiles from Renocon. I can use a new back splash in my ensuite!
Various antique furniture and decor from Antique Market and Charlie Ford Vintage.
Liberte Yogurt with seven different flavors and a baby yogurt. I love Liberte and the lime was so refreshing!
Then you will find Amore Almond + Dairy milk. Make with real almonds and contains 45% of your daily recommended calciums. Both the original and the vanilla flavors were very delicious. I think I will incorporate this with my Vega One nutritional shakes.
What’s a trade show without some jewelry and home decor products. I am you can only use so many vacuums!
Matchmaker for Hire. Because god forbid you have an empty nest and a table for one!
And lastly, if you have any sink that are clogging, the Turbo Snake does wonders. This was one of the best purchases made last year. Until next time folks! Have a lovely week!

Did you know huge I am a big KitchenAid fan? Ever since I started baking and cooking, I used to used my mom’s old machinery which were heavy and didn’t quite do the job anymore. But I got to give it credit for lasting so long. It is […]
