Thierry Chocolaterie Patisserie Café located on Aberni Street in Downtown Vancouver is founded by internationally acclaimed maître pâtissier Thierry Busset (formally at two 3 star Michelin restaurants Le Gavroche and Marco Pierre White. This contemporary brings France to the West Coast with abundance of the finest macarons, pastries, desserts, chocolate and café.
Invitingly modern, the Top Table Group who brought Vancouver Blue Water Café, Cin Cin, Araxi, West Restaurant, brings you Theirry opening daily from 7am to 12 midnight. Finally an easily accessibly dedicated dessert place opening late everyday in the heart of downtown… Stop by leisurely during the day for an afternoon cup of latte or post-dinner for their signature macaroon, or simply come by to chill on the patio.

Inside of this is sophisticated, modern, and sharp. Cakes, chocolate, macarons line the display units, and a smart café bar to the right. Jars of tuile and madeleine, confectioneries of caramel and nougat, cakes and tarts sparkle. Prices are on the pricier side, ex. tiramisu runs at $6.75 a piece.
It’s hard to try everything all in one sitting when they all look so deliciously stunning! It’s almost like the brilliance of diamonds sparkling rocking the hearts and arrow cut!
Let me start by saying they carry their own frozen treats!

Reasonably priced French Parisian delights made with real natural ingredients. I liked Thierry’s more over Thomas Haas (I found it a bit too sweet) and Kitchening with Carly who uses natural extracts. Then there are Urban Tea’s paired over high-tea is delightful.
Thierry’s macarons are always a fast seller – sometimes even at 3 in the afternoon they are GONE.
Gianuja Hazelnut – a buttery rich hazelnut paste. Delicious with rich nutty flavors!
Pistachio and Coco – heavy on the coco where tastes of pistachio becomes forgotten
Pistachio and Cranberry – Macaron of the day. Heaven! Taste of pistachio is natural and pure. A surprise of cranberries in the center. The tart taste wakes you up and pairs well with the sweetness of the cookie. One of our favorites!
Apple and Spice – Macaron of the day. Apple pie in a cookie! graduated ginger gives it a spicy finish.
Blackberry – sorry didn’t like this one… hate to say but it reminds me of cough syrup.
Lime – tart flavour is not bad. But I like the Lemon slightly more.
Lemon – Freshness of lemon zest without the bitterness. It is light and refreshing.
Raspberry – regular. Nothing special.
