Valentine’s Day is on high alert now that February is here. If you still have not made reservations to bring your darling to most romatic restaurant in Vancouver or planned the best date night ever, perhaps consider Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival. The 2014 Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival features 25 choco stars with over 60 flavors. Thierry Hot Chocolate Festival 2014 Vancouver has two flavors, one for January, another for February. Tonight at Theirry Chocolaterie Pastisserie Cafe there is not a seat in sight and this boutique dessert confectioner is jammed action pack.
- #55 – “TRIO OF CHOCOLATE” The base of this hot chocolate is 66% Mokaya chocolate by Michel Cluizel. Served with a disk of 45% Kayambe milk chocolate and white chocolate ice cream. Available: January 18 – January 31
- #56 – “THE AMPAMAKIA” The base of this hot chocolate is Ampamakia 68% chocolate – a premium chocolate from a special plantation of Valrhona and only available at Thierry. Served with a marshmallow dipped in 80% chocolate. Available: February 1 – 10th

Served with two marshmallow dipped in 80% chocolate. Although this hot chocolate is rich and the viscosity is thick, sticky, and semifluid; it is not very sweet. I like that a cavity isn’t forming with each sip. The chocolate dipped chocolate marshmallow was a nice additional.
There is plenty more here than the Thierry Hot Chocolate Festival 2014 Vancouver. Consider their Spanish Latte or even chocolate praline.
