Six Acres Gastown Pub & Restaurant in located on site of Gassy Jack’s Deighton Hotel in Gastown, Vancouver – neighbors to L’Abattoir and Cork & Fin and kiddy corner to The Diamond and Chill Winston. It has a cozy environment with exposed bricks filled with rustic share plates and a wide selection of top shelf beer and libations.
We like to come here for happy hour, especially on those dog days of summer and enjoy people watching on their patio.We came here to bridge between those should we eat? should we wait for dinner? type awkward situations. So we wanted chillax over.
Hoegaarden Witbier (Bel’gium) light and smooth refresher / St. Ambroise Stout (Que’bec) dark, rich & creamy bitter full bodied
Sausage Board 12.25: bratwurst, sauerkraut, sweet & grainy mustards, gherkins. This plate took us by surprise. We hadn’t realized it was only the lone sausage. It was juicy but we were somewhat disappointed as we stared the table next to us with sliders and fries galore.
So we caved and ordered more…
House Fries 5.75: drizzled with house-made ketchup & aioli + double-smoked bacon 1.50. We loved the Six Acres Gastown house made ketchup in near tomato paste form and a light drizzle of mayo on these crispy potatoes. If only I had some paprika, I’d totally sprinkle some on.
