Omnivore Comptoir Grill is a Middle Eastern fresh salad and grilled meat restaurant on Boul St-Laurent Montreal. Traveling for work or pleasure is always hard on your body. You are thrown off from your fitness routine. This gluttony vacation was no exception. While we love trying new restaurants like Toque, Park and L'Express; sometimes I just really miss a healthy meal full of greens.
Omnivore offers vegan, vegetarian and meat options fit for a flexi-Tarian like me. They have a great selection of salads, beef or chicken skewers and also fresh sandwiches.
This is a very busy lunch spot constantly with people coming in and out. Seat yourself and order at the counter. Space is super tight and tables are meant to be shared.
Fish sandwich 6.50: Fish, green pesto garlic sauce, fennel, tahini cabbage. Nice subtle flavors for a lighter Kaftas Sandwich.
Carnivore Platter: three skewers of beef or chicken, hummus, labneh.... The hummus is more acidic when compared to Nuba Labenese Restaurant in Vancouver. Tasty nonetheless. Meat is flavorful, well seasoned and nicely charred.
No doubt this place is one of our favorites and you should definitely add it to your list of places to eat in Montreal.
Omnivore is a brisk walk from the Metro. Approximately 30 min walk to Sherbroke and Saint Catherine's. Or if you are tired from walking? Uber your way back to the hotel or your next destination.
